we are just filling in our xpenses on the forms. me and my partner have a joint account and do not normally work things out seperaly. when filling in the forms do we just half everything or just both put wat we bot pay together. for example, his car insurance is paidfrom joint account but if i put this in my expenses they will notice that i do not own a car or even drive. it says at end of expenditure 'other household contributons'. so do i write how much everything is and they can work it out from other contributons. sorry hope that makes sense.

there is a box for other sources of income to put the benefits in

The OR will recalculate any time you have a significant change

thank you that makes sense now. where do you put that you recieve child benefit and tax credits . we r expecting tax credits to stop when its renewal time. will the OR then recalculate income if we are paying into an ipa?

thanks debtrider, we are both going bankrupt next week so joint account will affect both of us anyway. so i assume i should just fill in the expenditure the same on both forms and fill in 'other contributions' .

Hi amy forget what accounts things actually come from. What the OR wants to see in section 7 if the WHOLE amount of household expenditure (rent, gas, water council tax, shopping etc) in addition you would then add any personal expenditure, ie your travel costs, maintenance payments etc.

He should do the same if he his going bankrupt, so the whole of the household expenditure will be on both forms, but his car expenses would only be on his

Amy. If it is only yourself who is going bankrupt then I personally feel you should remove your partners name from the joint account. Or close the joint account and open two separate ones. Remember any money in that joint account could be frozen at bankruptcy so you or your partner may not be able to access it for a time.

I would try and keep you and your partners finances separate for the time being. For instance I doubt if the OR would allow you car expenses if you don't own a car.
