Posted - 25 January 2010 : 11:20:30 Hi, I am going to court on Friday to apply for bankruptcy. I still have a few things that I need to complete on the form but I am not sure what to put down. In the setion where it asks you to list your debts it asks for the date incured, but some of my debts are old and I cant remember the dates that I took the credit out, I have tried to phone the debt collectors that the debts have now been passed to and asked them the dates but some of them will not give me the information. Also I have a work pension scheme that my work pay 6% of my annual salary into, I do not make any contribution out of my wages, so in he section where it asks about pension do I fill in all the details of who the pension is with and just put in the amont paid section, that my work pay 6% a month of my annual salry or do I need to put in a figure.
Also if the form is not filled in in parts will the court clerk help complete it?
I have also opened a co op cash midner account but am not using it yet, do I change everything to paid into this account from Friday when I am made bankrupt?
Many thanks. |

Posted - 25 January 2010 : 12:05:09 Hi,
The court clerk will not help you to complete the form and it will need to be completed before you arrive at the court.
For the pension put the details down (i.e. which company the pension is with) and put the rough amount you pay each month into the pension.
With the old debts put the month and year if you know these, if not just the year. The OR will be able to contact the creditor to get the exact details if required.
You should move everything over to the Co-op account now. Your other account will probably be closed so you need to make sure your salary/benefit payments are changed to be paid into the Co-op account as well as any DDs. |
