Hi all

I realise this is commonly asked question but what am i allowed to claim for in allowances & expenses on S of A form.

Thats the easy part of the question, now the tricky part, my wife is in an iva and i am going BR so how do i split the percentage amount of the household income, eg lets say food is £100 per week and i pay £40 of this and my wife pays £60 would i show on my I&E that food costs me £40 per week and the same ratio on all other bills, if thats how i do it will the OR be ok with that and i just explain that my wife contributes the other amount.

Hope this makes sense, thanks for any replies.

You can view some of the allowances in the following spreadsheet - www.insolvency.gov.uk/DocumentLibrary/Policy%2FExcel%2F/Household%20Expenditur.xls

There is no need to break down the amount you and your wife pay for each allowance. You should enter the total amount your wife contributes to all items and then enter your allowances so it should look like:

My income - £1000
Wife's contribution - £500
Total Income - £1500

Outgoings

Housekeeping - £200
Clothing - £100
etc.
etc.
