Posted - 28 January 2010 : 10:17:36 Myself and hubby had telephone interviwe with OR and all went really well. It was no were near as bad as I thought it would be and OR was helpful. After going through everything was us she said that we didnt have enough money for IPA. They only thing was that we may have to pay a few hundred for us to keep our car. What happens now?? Do we just sit and wait for the year to go by?? Also if we get ED should we take it as it seems a few people on here after taking ED then have to start an IPA?? Many thanks

The car is only worth about 600 but its in my name and I dont work so she said hubby may have to pay to keep it. She said she would try and get it exempt.

Posted - 28 January 2010 : 11:16:14 Hi
First of all congratulations on taking the step to BR - you are now debt free.
As to ED - that is a bonus and not a right. You should bank on 12 months - there have been more EDs than normal, due to the volume of BRs going through.
Gettingoutofdebt is right on the IPA. You say the OR examiner said you will not get an IPA on your present circumstances. If, of course, your DI increases then you should inform the ORs office.
How much is your car worth - it needs to be below the £2K level for the OR so, you can gauge from that what the OR may be seeking from you
I wish you and yours well and you will now be able to relax and plan for a positive furure. Regards, Richard

Posted - 28 January 2010 : 11:00:02 You can only have an IPA implemented before you are discharged and not after so if you don't get an IPA while you are BR then you won't have one.
Have you received the OR's pack including the NTB2 form that needs to be signed? If not, you should be receiving that shortly.
You will also hear from the OR regarding the car in the next few weeks. Other than that it is a case of no news is good news and just waiting until your automatic discharge in 1 year or an early discharge if you are lucky enough to get one.
