Posted - 02 February 2010 : 10:49:51 Hi all
Does anyone know why creditors letters seem to come in bulk's or nothing?? I have been pretty fortunate with letters from creditors and no phone calls as no-one has my number since I moved last June. I had an influx of letters approx 2-3 mnths ago, but I now haven't had any letters for weeks??
Any logic to this...?? |

I am sooooo sorry. I didnt explain myself very well in the post. I forgot to say I am awaiting to go BR hopefully soon. Been saving as best I can and nearing BR FEB/Mar.(with help from Reviva thank GOD) So I haven't gone BR yet, but still letters have stopped suddenly.....? Is that good or bad or just normal................. More to the point I am petrified someone will come to my home!!!!!!!
Thanks so much for your help-you've been so great and answered lots of my prev posts!!
No problem. Before I was BR the same happened to me, nothing for a couple of weeks and then all of a sudden letters from all creditors. My repayment dates were around the same date each month so I assumed that a letter is automatically fired off when a payment is missed but it is strange that you haven't heard anything for a few weeks. Maybe the creditors have handed off the debt to debt management companies and they are catching up with your current address? Hopefully not but enjoy the peace while you still have it

Posted - 03 February 2010 : 14:47:55 Hi
Glad that you have found assistance from one of the experts.
Nobody is likely to come to your home. If a debt collector does call (does not happen that often) do not let them in.
I can assure you that debt collectors have NO POWER at all and cannot collect goods from you!
Do not stress - if you have concerns speak to Reviva - they will be pleased to assist you and good luck, Richard

Chances are the OR has informed your creditors and this has, finally, filtered through to the Call Centre level.
