Posted - 13 February 2010 : 22:58:29 I was really worried about how bankruptcy would affect my professional status too, but its not something that has come up.
I qualified as a staff nurse 2 years ago, bankruptcy was last May. I've since started my midwifery degree with a different trust and my financial status has never been asked about.
I think perhaps questions might be asked if you end up with people chasing you for money on a work phone though!

I think that you will be able to apply to become a nurse, when I did my nurse training years ago I was never asked about my credit history etc. Be careful though the NHS Bursary is counted as income so you may get an IPA from that.
When you qualify certain employers ask about financial status but that is 3 or 4 years in advance,
