Posted - 11 February 2010 : 16:18:23 I owe 23k on credit cards and the csa are chasing me for 9.5k If I go bankrupt for the personal debt of £23k will the OR allow me to continue trading as a sole trader in order to pay off the csa debt? I have no personal assets and live in rented accom business assets comprise of £1k van £1k power tools.

There should be no problem you continuing to trade as a self employed person. The only thing that may cause an interruption to trading is if you employ anyone. Other than that, no problem.
As you have rightly pointed out, a bankruptcy will not write off any debt due to the CSA.
