My current situ is this,
i took voluntary redundancy April last year as my job wasn't going anywhere after 11 years, i did get a reasonable package and hoped to pay off my creditor's once I'd found a new job.

My creditors are only,

2 credit cards, 1 bank loan, and a car on HP all toghter owing now under 10K.

But after a year of looking of permanent work i haven't had much luck.
i have had some agency work on and off.
plus to make things worse my partners ex tried to kill her and the kids just before Christmas so has been really hard over the last 3 months.

i have phoned and explained this to my creditors and they have been very understanding so far.

i am now signed on and falling behind on my payment's and rent etc.....

my partner is selling her house and moving location cause of what happened in the event the scum bag should walk free ??? good forbid!!!

i want to start with a clean slate when i move in with her and wounder if this is the right root ??

any advice would be much welcome

animal's and car's are the vain of my life !

Hi

Sorry to learn about your situation.

On your rental payments, have you claimed Housing Benefit as yet?

Is it a lot of arrears and have you spoken to your landlord or agent?

Has the landlord/agent said they are going to court with the rent arrears?

Come back as necessary, Richard

Thanks Richard,

Sorry for not saying Hi in the appropriate place.

I have already been to see the CAB a couple of yr's ago to help me pay some of these debt's off,
was doing really well managed to keep to the agreed payment plans etc...
but now it's proving hard to keep to the schedule due to no permanent regular money coming in, even falling behind with my current rent :(

HI molurus

(should have said welcome to the forum ) edited after posting

as you owe less then 15K and no assetts you may qualify for a Debt relief order. this is best to get through your local CAB

hopefully your partners house will sell quickly and then you can relocate and start a fresh together

some one may post link to DRO scheme i do not have one alink

good luck Richard
