Posted - 11 March 2010 : 15:37:22 There is information regarding DROs and their criteria at http://debtrelieforder.org.uk/commonly-asked-debt-relief-order-questions and companies that are approved intermediaries at http://debtrelieforder.org.uk/debt-relief-order-competent-authorities |

Posted - 11 March 2010 : 15:19:43 Many thanks Richard. It looks like a DRO is my best option. I shall return to the CAB, suitably armed with information. |

Posted - 11 March 2010 : 14:53:21 Thanks for your reply. I don`t have any assets. The car i drive is owned by my parents(can be proved), and i live with them.
So a DRO is my best option?? Where would i go to get the ball rolling please?...can i do the forms online, or is it handled by the CAB?. |

Posted - 11 March 2010 : 14:46:49 Hi foret fire
i think that you are enquiring about debt relief order
when you say you do not have any real assets can you clarify as this may prevent you from using DRO
sorry that you found CAB unhelpful they are usually good, have a read about DRO and then go back to them with a specific question about them helping you with a DRO

Posted - 11 March 2010 : 14:43:15 Thanks for your reply. I have been to the C.a.b., they were very unhelpful???!. They told me to get the forms from court...i`am also going be getting jobseekers allowance, will this be taken into account regarding expenditure?.
I have been advised that as my debt is below £15k, and i have no assets, or income...there is a cheaper alternative for me?.
Can someone please tell me where to get the forms e.t.c.
Many thanks for your help. |

Posted - 05 March 2010 : 16:31:09 Hi
I think you have been to the CAB - is that right?
If so, they can steer you into a direction and assist with dealing with a relatively low amount of debt
You probably do not need to look at Bankruptcy with what you owe to creditors - the CAB, or CCCS are very good as are the National Debt Helpline
Good luck, Richard
