Thanks for the info I've got no problem in paying into a ipa just the one they sent me was for £225 in total foe me and hubby and we can not afford it I found out they had stopped me car maintance , Internet and many other thing I need car maintance for work and my daughter needs the net for school and me for work so I objected to it and would like to pay one I can afford. So now I did this letter asking about petrol ,gas an elec ect which I have proof to how much they cost so I feel they r cluching at straws now but understand why they brought these new things up and not the first load they said I couldn't have ,

if an IPA cannot be agreed upon then the OR could go to court to have an IPO enforced upon you but they are really really really rare

RevivaUK and Paul Johns helped me through it all i can't recommend them enough!!

it looks like the OR is just gathering info at this time, The figures you have put are quite clearly above average. This does not mean that you cannot have them just that you need to show evidence which is what the OR is asking for

The OR can't argue with utility bill costs if you have the bills for them even if they think they are too high.

The same with travel costs provided you are travelling as cheaply as possible i.e. not 1st class on a train, buying a monthly ticket rather than daily tickets, etc.

The domestic break isn't always allowed by ORs and if it is the difference between someone having an IPA and someone not then it definitely won't be allowed.

Car maintenance should definitely be allowed at about £25 for MoT, Servicing and maintenance as you are normally only allowed a car worth less than £2k so the car will normally be pretty old.

It sounds like the OR is determined to try to get an IPA for you. Just supply the pay slips and receipts as requested and don't forget that the IPA is an agreement between you and the OR. If you feel you are not getting a fair deal with your expenses then you are within your rights to disagree with the OR's figures.

can u believe it had a letter through post today and the or wants me and my husbands to send in my last 3 months wage slips now and it questioning my travel expensive that are £300 amonth and my gas and electric @ £200 and telphone and moblies @£100

my travel is high as i am a travelling sales advice and travel up and down the county i have petrol recipts for this as proof

gas and elec is high in the house i rent and it still doesnt heat the house up i have recipts for this as well as im on key metre for both.

and phone mine and my husbands moblies are £40 each and then i have a house phone the or said when i went bankrupt we could keep these as it would cost them more to end them.

none of these things were on the orginal list that they said we couldnt have and thats what started the ipa thing up, so is the or now letting us have the other stuff that we were told we couldnt have .eg .domestic break car manitance ect was said we could not have them ? and they are now picking on this stuff in order for them to get something out of us that we clearley dont have .

any feed back would be great

thanks for replys guys think i will stop casing them and if they send another ipa through the post then i will just deal with it then
gettingoutofdebt Posted - 13 March 2010 : 12:14:40
It may be that they have accepted your reasons for declining the IPA, in which case you probably won't hear anything more on the subject.

if you get discharged you will not have an ipa
