Posted - 15 March 2010 : 09:16:44 Hi Tom
you don't have to submit your tax returns if you are going bankrupt. In the absence of any other information HMRC will estimate their claim based on previous earnings, and this will be their claim in the bankruptcy.
As debtinfo said, the OR could class the non-submission of returns as neglecting your affairs, so it may be useful if you could at least provide a schedule of your earnings for the three years. It would be better if you could complete the returns, but cost will obviously be a factor.

Posted - 13 March 2010 : 17:36:03 Hi you wont be made to pay, but the OR may place a restriction on you for neglecting your business affairs, so if you can submit them at least you can show what you do and dont owe |
