Hi i am bankrupt already and my official receiver ask for my life insurance policy to which has no surrender value only payable on death my question is that they have said they sent the policy back on the 22nd Feb but have not received it
In the mean time i receive a letter on the 1st march from a different dept of official receiver office saying that i need to pay £50 to buy back my policy documents is this correct bearing in mind they have said they have sent the policy back on the 22nd Feb with out any payment

It may not be the case in your country (Nigeria) however it is the case when you declare BR in England or Wales.

Gary - As Daniel mentioned the £50 fee to buy back the policy is normal so you need to work out whether to buy the policy back or take out a new one.

Hi Gary You have a choice here buy the policy back for £50 or stop paying into it and take out a new one, do the maths and chose whats best
