Regular contributors to the forum will be aware of the increase in filing for bankruptcy fee from April 2010 from £510 to £600 (Official Receiver fee increased from £360 to £450). Previous posts have recommended people booking the appointment now (even if for after 1st April) to save themselves the £90 increase - Just to let you know I spoke to a court yesterday to check on some information I had received from someone I was providing advice to, and the Court's earliest date for booking was 7th April - and yes, they would book the date but insisted on the FULL £600 fee being applicable - I tried to argue the point - as this was not my interpretation of what I had read on the Insolvency Service website but the clerk would not budge!!! Got quite stroppy as well (jobsworth!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Just thought I would let everyone know, that in case anyone had pre-booked hoping to get around the increase - sadly you will have to pay the full increased fee!

I suppose since they only take cash on the day, then it would be the actual day you hand it over that would count, ie. the day you go BR.
