Posted - 23 March 2010 : 11:39:53 My husband and I were declared Bankrupt on 19th March. We currently have use of my sons car but it is in my husbands name for insurance purposes. My son is out of the country and the OR has asked us for proof that the car is my son's. My son has no copies of any receipts... what will happen to the car?

If you can't prove that the car is your son's then it will be treated as part of your BR. If it is worth more than £2k it will be sold unless you can pay the difference in value. If the OR deems you need a car for travel to/from work then if they sell the car they will let you buy another one up to £2k.
