Posted - 25 March 2010 : 17:00:27 Hi my wife had her telephone interview today and everything went OK. She was told she may receive an early discharge and told she could keep the car. While talking to the OR about the cause of her BR my wife said that one of the reasons leading to her bankruptcy was that her mother was going to help pay for a holiday, and she never did help which left her with a big debt. The OR said that they may contact my mother in law to verify my wifes statement. My wife would not like them to contact her as it would cause more upsetment in the family. Please could anyone tell me what is the likelihood of them contacting her. Thanks.

Yes the OR may contact your mother in law but in reality will not
why would the OR contact your mother in law ? to chase to see why she did not pay for holiday ? the phone call with your M-I-L would be very short yes i was going to but changed my mind None of your business to the reason. Next.
How would the OR know your M-I-L telephone number or address
the less information that has been disclosed the less chance of a phone call
