I am coming toward the end of my bankruptcy and, fingers crossed, have managed to avoid an IPO so far.
I am loathe to contact the OR, as I do not want to raise any unnecessary flags, but wondered what the next steps are?
Does discharge automatically happen after 12 months? Does the OR need to do some sort of completion report? Will I be notified of my discharge? Can I become a company director straight away?

Does the OR need to do some sort of completion report? No idea but they won't contact you unless they need more information regarding your case.
Will I be notified of my discharge? No, but you can check the Register as this should show you as discharged.
Can I become a company director straight away? Yes, unless you have a BRU. You would hear from the OR is this were the case.
The main thing to do once you are discharged is to print off a couple of copies of the Register showing you as discharged. Some banks/credit institutions will ask for proof of your discharge.
