Posted - 29 March 2010 : 17:12:36 Hi. I am due to be declared bankrupt on 9th April. Just filling in forms. Do i have to put down my childrens bank accounts? They get pocket money from their grandparents and there is a few hundred pounds in them.I am the lead signatory on the accounts. Thanks

You will find this forum to be very good and supportive - I found it last July - 6 weeks after I petitioned my own bankruptcy.
There may be some authorititive view on this subject and I would learn from any other postings too.

Generally speaking I would say no - you file for bankruptcy as an individual.
However, if the account is in your name as trustee as they are minors, then maybe you should declare it to the OR.
If thousands of pounds suddenly found their way into your childrens accounts - that may be a different matter, I suspect.
Hope this assists and I am sure others will post with more authoritive knowledge of this area.
