Hello,
I'm really scared and worried.. Does it sound familiar?...:) I have debts of around 26k and income of £520 a month, only. I've just about to start a DMP (can't do IVA as not enough surplus income), Eventually I'll take the plunge and go bankrupt, but need to build the courage yet. I managed to get credit by lying about my income, I don't even know how I spend so much. My question is, when eventually I go bankrupt would that be likely I'll get a BRO? I came to the conclusion, by reading posts in forums, that, perhaps, no one would say- even if they believe so- that the OR would not make a song and dance for that. But anyway I hope someone will shed some light on my shadow.
Thank you!!

Hi

Welcome to the forum.

I agree with what Paul has said. There are more bankruptcies than have ever been seen in history at the moment. That does mean that every OR office is very busy.

I believe that the ORs are tightening up on their investigations whenever they have the opportunity and if you have lied to get credit - you may well be found out. Then, as Paul has said, a BRU is a strong possibility

I wish you well and please post more here if you need to run some ideas by people - we always try to assist. Richard

i have seen the OR investogations to be more diligant recently and it seems quite normal to ask credit card / loan companies for a copy of the application form. That is a good way to identify whether you were accurate at the time of applying for the loan.

If your figures were wildly out it is likely that you would get a BRU
