Posted - 19 April 2010 : 11:24:25 I went bankrupt on the 9th April. Huge releif for me. I received 'Bankruptcy Order on Debtors Petition' letter on the following monday. However i have not been listed on http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/ under 'Personal Insolvency'. Why is this?
Also I have not been phoned by a 'receiver'. Though my bankruptcy is relatively straight forward: Unsecured debt and mental health issues. Does it happen that the official receiver may not contact a newly made bankrupt. |

Posted - 19 April 2010 : 14:31:04 Hi again Jane
I have searched in the London Gazzette for my BR - the email address I gave in the last post. I simply typed in my FULL name and there I was!!
You should be there too!
happy searching!

Posted - 19 April 2010 : 11:53:33 I went bankrupt nearly 3 years ago and have never found myself on the Gazette search, if someone could post the direct link to search, I would be most grateful, I should surely be in the archive section but I have spent hours looking on the website and searching and I have never come up. |

Posted - 19 April 2010 : 11:48:51 I appear on http://www.insolvency.gov.uk
I see the local shrink and support workers. My mental health used to be really bad. Now i am much better. In my opinion its one of those things where only myself can drag myself out of the mental abyss. My mental health used to be really bad. Now i am much better.
I receive incapacity benefit and disability living allowance.

Posted - 19 April 2010 : 11:34:08 Hi and welcome to the forum.
You will appear in the London Gazette and in Stubbs Gazette - as well, of course, on the Insolvency Register - have you checked that one - that normally appears within 24 hours.
Not all BR have a face to face interview - a large number have a telephone interview - they are very busy at the moment.
As regards to your health, are you receiving support? If so, and I assume that you are, your GP practice may be able to give support by way of CBT or something similar.
I wish you well - in alll senses of the word - many of us have suffered mental health/stress issues - it does get better!
Post when you need too - always someone here, Richard
