Yes, you are now Bankrupt. You can see the listing on the Insolvency website.

The ORs staff will contact you quite soon - as I said, they are very busy and it may take a few weeks.

Do as Richard P has said if your creditors call - give them the court reference and the date of the order.

I wish you well and please post again as you see necessary - always someone here, Richard

Also what do i do when creditors ie credit card companies still keep ringing me up to 5 times a day.
Many tahnks for all of your help and time

Now that you are BR

you will have a court copy of the order, each time a creditor rings you give them the court , the reference and even if you feel nice the OR office.

it will take about 3 - 4 weeks for all of the creditors to finally get the message

The OR will also write to them but in slow time

regards Richard

Hi Gedc

As housing says it is busy so just hang fire for a few weeks they wont forget you.

the first phone call is basic introducer "Hello"

they will then arrange to have telephone interview or ask you in to their office for a face to face. NO hard and fast rules to who does what, businesses, high debt total, self employed, confusing or badly written petitions may lean towards face to face.

Both types of interview are OK, they do not prejudge. more a fact finding mission than interview.

You may get called back for a second or third interview, (very rare) this may be with the OR or Trustee, could mean that they have a few loose ends that need to be addressed

hope this helps

regards Richard

Hi

The ORs are very busy at the moment - it may take up to 3/4 weeks - do not fret - if you have not heard from say, the end of the month, give the ORs office a call quoting your BR reference number, Richard
