Posted - 21 June 2010 : 23:39:31 i have just been declared bankrupt and the trustee wants to take my car.the car is in my name for insurance purposes only but my husband paid for it and signed the agreement my husband uses it for work and without it wont be able to work can they still take the car

Posted - 22 June 2010 : 08:36:42 Does your husband still have the receipt, bank/credit card statement for the purchase of the car? If so, then they would be considered the owner of the car and if your husband isn't BR then the OR shouldn't be able to take it.
