Hi
My husband and i filled for bankruptcy on 16th Nov 2009. subsquently i was given an early discharge on 4th June 2010 and no IPA. My husband has been givenan IPA and should recieve his early discharge soon aswell. Both of us were completly happy to wait for automatic discharge but we have been lucky enough to have been offerred an early one. I ahev a few questions i would be greatful of replies to if possible.
1) Now that i have been granted an early discharge with no IPA does this mean i do not have to tell the OR if i have any changes to my pay/win the lottery etc?
2) Although our bankruptcies were seperate as you can't file in joint names does my husband have to inform his(same as mine) OR if my salary changes etc as our income and expenditure was submitted the same for both of us?
4) does the 6 years run form the date of your early discharge or the date of what would have been automatic discharge?
Thanks for your help

1. No, any money you come into (wage rises, lottery wins, etc.) are yours to keep.

2. If your husband's income changes then he will need to inform the OR. The OR cannot force you to contribute more to the household expenses that you want to so if your wage were to increase but you don't want to contribute that money to the household expenses then you don't have to.

4. If you mean the 6 years that it takes for the BR debts to fall off your credit file then it is 6 years from the date of your BR.
