Hi, hopefully last question about SoA.
As you know from my previous posts, I have a house that I am currently not living in (all my furniture etc is still there until I find rented accommodation in my new town)which my neighbour keeps any eye on for me, and I go there approx once every 6 weeks for a couple of days to cut the grass, clean etc. My query is regarding my gas and electric and water.
At the moment I am not in arrears with either of these, however a fuel bill will be due in early August and the water in October. Do I put these on the SoA as I dont know how much the bills will be. If I dont include them will they still be covered by my BR or will I be liable for them.
Many thanks

thanks gettingout of debt
All you people have been such a help, I am most grateful, and am now much calmer about the BR hearing, I'm sure I will panic a bit about the OR interview, but hey, what will be will be.
Just wish the JobCentre Plus people were as helpful as this forum....I made my claim 2 weeks ago for JSA, had to go down 3 days running for different things, then again last week they phoned to say they wanted another pay slip of my partners and that I should hear within 7 days....called them today and they have said we have a back log we wont be able to assess your claim for probably another 3 weeks...so this will be 5 weeks without any money at all, and then I wonder why I am getting deeper and deeper in debt. Also this is putting a hold on me and my partner finding a place to rent as we cant put in a claim for housing benefit until this is sorted......sorry I know this is not the place to moan about them, but it just p***s me off so much, when I have worked my cobs of for all my life and when I need help you are treated like a bloody scrounger.
Anyway.....rant over....and once again everyone thanks for your advice and knowledge.

There isn't a need to write to your creditors as the OR will do this. If the creditors call you once you are BR then you can tell them that you are BR and they will ask for the BR reference number (from the BR certificate) and the name/address details of the OR.

If you want to write to your creditors then you can just put those details, along with a copy of the BR certificate, in the letter.

Thanks Bridgewood most appreciated.
I have read on here that a lot of people write to their creditors when they are made br to inform them, could you advise what needs to be put in the letter, I assume it would be day and date of bo, bo ref number, any reference number relevant to their debt etc. Would you put that they will be contacted by the OR and that all future correspondence should be with the OR?

Hi David

Any debts owed by you (including utility bills) at the time you went bankrupt are claimable in the bankruptcy irrespective of whether or not they are on your SoA.

You should get meter readings at the time of the BO to enable the debts to be confirmed.

Post BO debts will be an expense of the bankruptcy if you are not in occupation of the premises and will be for the OR to deal with
