The official receiver (OR) will want a list of your assets, but rest assured you will not have to give up a much needed car. It does depend on the value of the car..for example you probably wouldn't be allowed to keep a porsche , but generally if a car is essential you keep it.
My hubby kept his car as it was needed for work and we kept the house. So please do not worry.
