Posted - 11 September 2010 : 18:36:04 hi there, i was discharged from br jan 2010 and my next aim is to get my credit score to 720+(fair) but its proving to be very difficult. I have a basic account with natwest which is showing up on my credit report, if i can open a basic account with another bank will that help my credit score too?

Posted - 11 September 2010 : 20:39:23 It will help, but don't forget that your BR will remain on your credit file for six years from the date of the court hearing and so your rating is unlikely to rise too much at the moment.
Keep your bank account up to date, rent or mortgage, mobile phone contract if you have one and all these will help.
