Posted - 14 September 2010 : 13:16:27 i went bankrupt on july 7th 2010 and just got a letter to say i need to start paying IPA of £85 a month, how long will this last? and is it instead of paying tax??

Posted - 14 September 2010 : 13:43:15 An IPA is usually for 36 months. it can go up or down in this time depending on your circumstances though. They will normally put you on a NT (no tax) code from now until the end of the current tax year but this 'extra' money on your wage slip also needs to be paid to the OR.
