Posted - 04 November 2010 : 07:49:55 Hiya..
Im no expert.. just only the other day went through bankruptcy myself..
Try not to worry yourself to much about the phone call or interview with the Official Reciever.. I admit i worried over the whole process so im no one to talk really :P
What he or she will do.. Is basicly just go over your paperwork you put foward for your bankrupstcy petition..
They are not difficult questions.. Its just basicly to clear things up and to get a clear understanding of what you put.. For example the OR will go through your income and expenditure.. Just tell em what it was for, for the less obv things.. Simple really.. They may ask for you to send some wage slips.. Thats about it really.. Depends on each and everyones own situations.
But Try not to worry about it to much.. You at the end of the day are doing ya best to sort out your debt.. Look at it that way :D YA deffo not the only one.
Just be totally honest and youll be fine..
I wish you the best of luck.. & I hope everything works out for you x

Posted - 04 November 2010 : 00:28:47 thanks Big al ,i think maybe im thinking the OR interview will be worse than it really is!!What should i expect is it just a case of him checking my expenditure and asking q's about it.What sort of q's should i expect ,just so i can be prepared for it. Thanks again for all your advice,i really appreciate it!!
Hi Donna, by bills I meant things like utility and telephone bills,I wouldn't expect anyone to come trudging in with receipts from Next, New Look,George , or your hairdresser etc

Hi Donna,
I know it's difficult to estimate what you may spend as you've always been left with nothing for your family due to your situation.
The I&E that we ran through on the phone will be fine and yes you are ok to include CSA on your expenditure.
The OR won't want to see your supermarket or hairdressing bills.

Posted - 03 November 2010 : 14:47:08 hi Donna, as Gettingoutofdebt said, you should leave the benefits in your calculation. If your household income is made up of a salary, benefits and tax credits then they all go down as your income, you would only exclude benefits, if they were your only source of income.
At £61, you shouldn't have to enter into an IPA, but be prepared to show actual utility bills, etc to show that is what you are actually paying. As an examiner,I would always ask to see actual bills etc if the amounts claimed were well above the amounts that the OR refers to in the household expenditure survey.

Posted - 03 November 2010 : 14:13:08 You need to list the Child Benefit on your SOA so just leave it as it is. A DI of £60 will mean that you won't get an IPA as you need a DI of at least £100 for an IPA so there is nothing to worry about. |
