Posted - 10 November 2010 : 14:01:02 Just a quick update, still no contact from the OR and only 12 days to go, so it is looking more and more likely that the OR does not think an IPA is warranted, is that correct? |

Posted - 07 November 2010 : 12:03:06 Hi Charlie, having recently been an examiner with the insolvency service, the liklihood of an IPA is very remote. The fact that you haven't been sent an IPOQ(basically an income/expenditure form) indicates that the OR is not considering it.
As Dave said, the procedures are such that there would not be sufficient time for the OR to obtain an IPO or suspension of discharge, as it can take up to or longer than 6 weeks just for the OR to get a court date.

Posted - 06 November 2010 : 16:59:39 should they contact you now with regards to an IPA you can not agree to it, and they do not have enough time to enforce an IPO as it requires 6 weeks to do that. they would have to suspend your discharge and if you received a letter tomorrow and ignored it they would not write back for 2 weeks so you would be home and dry, if IPA not agreed or IPO in place by court order before discharge it cannot be

Don't worry or know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum.(Baz Lurhman) RevivaUK and Paul Johns helped me through it all i can't recommend them enough!! |

Posted - 06 November 2010 : 11:02:57 Hi Richard thanks for the reply. Yes I have been available throughout the whole time. They had my phone numbers, both home and mobile and my email address as well as my home address. The only time they rung me was to arrange a valuation of my car. I also contacted them via email about life insurance as well. The last contact I had from them was a letter stating they were requesting to be released as trustee, that was at the beginning of April, since then, nothing. |

Posted - 05 November 2010 : 20:19:53 Hi Charlie
it would normally have been sorted out by now
sounds good news, by the time you take off weekends and response time to a letter, you are nearly / virtually home and dry.
I take it that you have been available to the OR should they have wanted to speak to you.

Posted - 05 November 2010 : 18:45:14 Dear Charlie
Fingers crossed, eh!
I would think that after nearly one year of bankruptcy the chances of suddenly receiving an IPA are virtually nil. Has the OR recently asked you to complete an I & E?
All the very best and enjoy your debt free future.
