hi,in jan 2009 i put in a claim for childrens tax credit going back to 2002 / 2003.I went BR in Feb 2009 and discharged feb 2010. today I received a letter from HMRC saying that they had sent a repayment to my OR..Do you think this is the last ive seen of this even if it does go right back to 02/03 and im also now discharged?
many thanks to anybody who comments.

It should only be for the period prior to your discharge so if you had a tax rebate this financial year then it should be sent to you rather than the OR.

Ah well never mind would of been nice... so how long do any rebates have to keep going to the OR.... Forever?
Thanks.

When you are declared BR one of the forms you sign in the OR's pack is to confirm you allow HMRC to pay an tax rebates, etc. directly to the OR rather than to you. The OR will use this amount to pay your creditors and I don't think there is any realistic chance of getting this money off the OR.
