Hi Trev

I thought trustees were supposed to give you time to resolve issues like finding somewhere to live.

once they have served notice to quit the local council / housing authority should kick into gear (subject to dependants, family set up and housing points).

The council also have lists of BR freindly lanlords.

(added after posting)
Trev the next typing is not meant as a knock but encouragement for others to help them through bankruptcy. The family home is a major concern to most people considering bankruptcy, take advice about the possible outcomes for your home before you petition (preferably from an expert). The trustees will consider selling your property if you have high amount of equity in your property, that could be 3 - 9 months after you have been declared BR definatly not the day of
Bankruptcy court.

Trev sorry to read about your challenges it may be appropriate to speak to a neighbouring council and see what they can offer good luck

Hi Trev

are you currently working ?

family living with you ?

how far are you down the debt scenario ?

are you uptogether with mortgage repayments ?

has the creditor actually put a charge on your house yet ? if not it is time to take control of the sitation and call an expert you may be able to save the house but not knowing your circumstances and other debts i can only ask questions and make part suggestions.

I used Paul and his team at Reviva they were really helpfull

good luck Richard

Lots of people who declare BR are in a similar position. Are there any private landlords in the area? They don't normally bother with credit checks.
