Most worried Posted - 18 November 2010 : 11:17:32
Hi everyone

I am about 5+ mnths into my BR now. My case was deemed straight forward / no assets etc and very old debts. Was also told by OR at end of interview that I would be recomended for ED after 6 Mnths.
Me and Moonbever are waiting for NIL tax code to be implemented and other than this I have no letters or phone calls...which is nice naturally!!

My problem is that I still find myself really anxious in the evenings...!!?? I look out for just about everything that moves outside my home and still get so nervous about the thought that someone (debt coll) will visit...
I'm normally not 'relaxed' until after 8 pm as I've somewhere read that visits are likely to happen between 4-8...

After all these mnths...are anyone likely to come?? Can I try to not worry so much in the evenings....?
Anyone else had this experience?? :)

Hi everyone.

Thank you so very much for your replies.
Believe me, I wount take it for granted the day I get discharged!!
You are so right, after worrying for so long I have nearly forgotten how to relax and fear the doorbell or the phone.

Thanks again for your help :)

Hi, I, like others DO understand your feelings. After many years of worry, i found it difficult to get used to the idea of being debt free!!.

I was lucky enough to b. given E.D...so after 6 months, that was it!!.

It IS a bit of an anti-climax, after sooo many years of debt worry!.

You can stop hiding behind the curtains now....and answer your phone!

Best wishes in your debt, (and worry), free future!.

HI MW

Relax, if they are not writing to you and giving you stick, they aint going to come a knocking on the door.

if it was a creditor included in the petition you cannot speak to them even if you wanted too as they have to go via the OR.

yes i still do find myself taking a breath as i see a van pull up in the street, then have to laugh at myself as i am being unrealistic. I am not that important to any of my creditors as i have been to court and declared i have no assets so why would they want to waist money chasing something that aint going to be financially viable !.

MW smile and enjoy a debt free future, forget about the past

Richard
