Posted - 13 December 2010 : 12:57:23 Hi I was discharged from bankruptcy in August 2009. I am still struggling. I have a basic bank account but still cannot get any credit. I applied for one of the credit cards recommended by Martin Lewis for bankrupts which are about 40% APR. He suggested spending 5 quid then paying it off straight waway to improve my credit score. My score is 696 at present which is poor. Any suggestions as to how I can improve my life with credit? My life is still a mess and I think I made a huge mistake going bankrupt. |

I know someone who was declared bankrupt 2 years ago and is now able to get a mortgage. How does that happen???? |

Posted - 13 December 2010 : 13:53:21 I do struggle a bit with the money I have coming in but that is not the reason to gain credit. I want to improve my credit score so that I can gain credit when I need to in the future. |
