Posted - 26 December 2010 : 22:16:44 my friend went bankrupt a few years ago,his daughter is obtaining alot of credit at her home address and she will soon be living with her already bankrupt dad soon but he will soon be coming out of his bankrupcy,if she doesnt keep up with her payments or just doesnt pay could this have any effect on my friend what so ever on his possesions/home at his house whilst his daughter is there,hope you can help Thankyou

As gettingoutofdebt has said, I suggest you try and talk to your friend's daughter and urge her to seek advice sooner rather than later.
Posted - 27 December 2010 : 15:00:56 The father won't be included in any of his daughter's debts unless the debts are joint or he has been named as a guarantor. His possessions/home will be safe unless the credit is secured on the possessions/home.
If the daughter looks like they may be in financial difficulty in the near future then they would be better to seek advice now, when there may be a chance of resolving the problems rather than later, when the only option may be to declare BR.
