Posted - 17 January 2011 : 14:05:55 my husband went bankrupt in december 2009 and is now a discharged bankrupt we are in the middle of completing his tax return for 2009-2010 as he is self employed. our accountant says he will not have to pay what he owes as he declared bankruptcy in that financial year, i just wanted to check whether this is correct. many thanks

Posted - 17 January 2011 : 15:18:16 How would you know how much tax was due for Dec - March as the figures are for the whole year, also what would happen if you were due a refund would you be able to keep any money due after the BR date? Again how would you be able to tell if it was pre or post BR
