Posted - 18 January 2011 : 22:47:51 Hi
completely different rules and MUCH cheaper to present your petition.
You cannot apply for Br in Scotland unless you qualify under one of the following points.
1. Provable LOW income ( need to qualify by being on benefits of being able to prove you have a VERY low income ) 2. Having court action taken by a creditor - action by the Sheriff etc 3. Having a creditor agree to the Br petition and sign the form to say so.
You might want to have a word with Melanie Nicolas one of the forum experts to double check the option of an IVA ( different name in scotland ) before pursuing the Br option.

Posted - 17 January 2011 : 19:32:59 Hi Alex
The scottish rules and regulations are different.
check with your union to see if their any restrictions to you going BR with job
it may be that an IVA may be workable,
as stated i do not fully know the scottish rules and regs so would refer you direct email to one of the experts
