Hi everyone, looking to go bankrupt in next week or so, was just wondering about a few things. I am married and just me going bankrupt mrs on debt plan, most of the debt is in my name, but £10000 is joint loan and overdraft. What will happen with this, will they go after mrs she's doing plan with said parties. But just wondered if any will be wiped out, and if she still repaying once I'm clear can they try and come after me.
P.S. I was made redundant in 2009 on a 10th of old wages mrs still in her job.
Thank you for any help Michael

Hi and welcome

Your wife will be responsible for the whole of the joint debt as you are jointly and seperately liable for it and she will have to keep paying until the full amount is paid off.

I am assuming that if you have an IPA then some of this will go towards paying that debt off.

Buckle your seat belt Dorothy, 'cos Kansas is going bye bye.
