Posted - 01 February 2011 : 18:53:53 Hi Glafy and Jay
alas the best option is to keep a low profile.
The OR will know from first interview or statement of affairs the likely outcome for your IPA they will hold on as long as possible before finalising decision.
if your circumstances change you must inform them then they will review IPA.
I found it sooo frustrating waiting for a whole year to have my bankruptcy fianlly resolved but hey ho it took me 8 years to build up the debt so one or four years to have it all dealt with not that bad

Posted - 01 February 2011 : 11:37:55 jay81 I had to laugh to myself when I read your post as that is exactly what I have been worried about.."opening a can of worms" It really is daft to feel like that as they know absolutely everything about me and I have nothing to hide. I have never had to bear all (metaphorically!!) before & maybe that is why I feel so vunerable Cheers for that reply, it does help.

Posted - 01 February 2011 : 10:33:17 Hi ,i rang the OR regarding the same thing basically he said to carry on as normal and when ED comes up i'll get another I&E form and they will then decide off that if an IPA is needed(Like Viki has pointed out),I wouldnt worry but you could ring the OR if you are curious.Ive rang mine a few times and they are so helpfull but on the other hand im always scared incase i open a can of worms.!!!! Hope this helps!quote: Originally posted by glafy
Forgive me for jumping on this thread too but it has prompted me to ask a question of our experts. There has been no mention of us getting/not getting an IPA (BR late Nov 2010) & I obviously do not want to contact the OR to ask!!!! Is this normal? Is there "a normal?" The only communication we have had since the initial forms is a letter from the OR asking if we would be interested in purchasing the BI. Would appreciate some info' on this Thanks

Posted - 01 February 2011 : 00:49:00 I was made BR the beginning of Dec, we were told that we don't have to pay IPA, nothing was ever mentioned about a nil tax code... is this normal? We have received only 2 letters since our telephone interview, and that was to supply an invoice of our child care charges (which we did) and the second was confirming we can keep our car. Should I hear anything else or am I just a number in a system now until AD?

Hi cantcope.
This is an awful part of BR, it feels so strange hearing nothing & as one who finds it hard not to be in control, I am finding it really stressful too. As Vikki has said, if your I&E has not altered then you don't need to do anything. Just sit tight & try and relax (LOL) Good Luck

Posted - 31 January 2011 : 13:38:13 Hi,
You will receive an I&E before ED or before AD. If you have surplus over £20 at that time, then an IPA will be set up. If you don't then it won't.
If your circumstances change at any time before that you will need to inform them.
