i have just under £15000 debt on credit cards and just over £6000 in mybank & saves.
i have now retired and recieve £220 in pensions which is my only income.
if i went bankrupt would they take all my money and leave me pennyless or do they have to leave me with some savings to live on and pay the bills

Is that 220 weekly?

Put down everything that you spend, heating, food, petrol etc & see what you have left over. You may be able to offer this sum in a DMP & the creditors may freeze the interest.

Hi

From what you have described, BR may not be the best or most appropriate solution - £15K is not a lot of debt.

Why not link to one of the experts to get some soundings or make contact with your local CAB

ome back whenever you need to
