I have just been scrolling back reading through various posts & one thing is still puzzling me.

If an IPA is given, does it last a TOTAL of 36 months from the date of issue. Or if a variation happens such as unemployment 12 months in, is it suspended possibly due to decreased income & then restarted when income increases?

Does that make sense?

Forgive me if I am being slightly dense!!

I understand now.
Cheers

Yes, it's 36 months from the date of your first payment, so if your 36th month is April 2014, then regardless of if it stops and starts, that will be your last payment.
