Hi I have a court date of 28th February for my Bankruptcy, and am begining to get really anxious. I have filled in my forms. Does anyone know, if I have disposable income would I be allowed to keep it to buy a new car which I am desperate for as my old car is costing me a fortune and I need a decent car to get me to work and take children to school, or would they want it for an IPO.
Thanks

Hi Floridaholiday,

Can you delay the court date?

I would certainly think about putting some money aside now and purchasing a cheap runaround before the bankruptcy.

Hi and welcome FH.

I know that your DI will be used to pay towards your BR but not sure if you can keep any of it towards the purchase of a new car.

Hopefully one of the experts can help.

Buckle your seat belt Dorothy, 'cos Kansas is going bye bye.
