Posted - 03 March 2011 : 08:36:06 My wife receives DWP from the government because he is classed disabled, the allowance is for caring. Is this allowance classed as income when calculating my IPA payments.

In answer to your question - most 'benefits' received are not included in any calculation made to see if an IPO/IPA is warranted. As a 'norm' it is only 'income' that is included, this refers to money 'earned' - Benefits are not classed in the same way. However, if your wife was to also recieve an 'income' ie salary/wages that would be included in any calcultation
