Posted - 03 March 2011 : 21:27:41 Hello, my husband I plan to go bankrupt once we have moved abroad. We are looking for a reputable bankruptcy company to help us do this. I have been in contact with a few companies but I would like to have one recommended if possible and if there any scams out there could you let me know and I will avoid them? The fees vary from £500 to £700 to £995.

welcome to the forum
you have two options here
1) you petition for your bankruptcy a couple of weeks before you leave the country (this will give time for OR interview) this can be done by a company or on your own
2) you can petition for your bankruptcy within 3 yrs of leaving this country, you either fly back and do it yourself or ask a third party or company to help you obtain a lasting power of attorney and do the deed for you. (cost money to obtain an LPA though).
All of the experts on this forum have been authorised by the host and are reputable companies who have helped many people.
if you look back on previous threads you may read testimonials and recomendations.
The cost is variable to obtain the support of a company and it depends on your cirucmstances and what you need to have done.
good luck Richard

Is there any reason you are waiting until you have moved before going BR?
I would recommend speaking to any of the experts who post on here - their details can be found at the side of the page in the experts' section.
