what if i am thinking of declaring bankruptcy but i cannot afford the court costs?

Hi
The costs are in two elements - the court fee and the OR fee. - Total £600.00.
In certain circumstances you may qualify for some relief. - If you are on certain welfare benefits for example
If you have a connection with the services, you may get assistance from SSAFA or the RBL - worth a try
Some charitable funds are available - few and far between, but the CAB would be able to guide you
