Posted - 05 March 2011 : 17:42:20 Hi there. I am working very very hard to move on after bankruptcy in June 2009. To my total shock a friend told me that she had 'googled' my name and came up with all my bankruptcy details, prev addresses etc. I realise these have to be held and used by credit/banking institutions but what about 'joe public' filling in time on google? What can I do about this, I am so shocked what if my kids see this, or worse my violent ex who I have been hiding from for 10 years? |

Posted - 06 March 2011 : 09:42:25 I dont fully understand it, but it is something to do with the way google searches (which they changed the other day by the way)but the london gazette can but some piece of code in your online entry which means that the Google bots dont pick it up |

Posted - 06 March 2011 : 08:23:18 it usually only happens to people with unusual names as they appear at the top of internet seaches.
it would be interesting to know how unusual the OP's name is |

Posted - 05 March 2011 : 23:50:48 It wont be from the Insolvency Register, it will be from the london gazette, you couls try asking the londen gazette to make the details not googleable (if that is a word), althogh it would still be available if someone searched the london gazette itself |

Posted - 05 March 2011 : 19:16:26 I'm sorry to hear that. Your details should not be visible now. Have you checked to see if your details have been removed from the Insolvency register?
