Posted - 07 March 2011 : 15:18:00 Hi all, I was discharged from my bankruptcy in September 2010, was only bankrupt for 8 months. My question is what happens now? do i have to do anything regarding credit report. Also how long after bankruptcy do things start to return to normal.. Can you get phonr contracts etc or do i need to wait 5 years?

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.
Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 - it's over at last!

You can request a copy of your credit report to see what it says about you. The bankruptcy will remain for the full six years from the date of court appearance.
Don't know about phone contracts, one of the others should be able to advise soon I hope.
