I have a 2 cars registered to me as a keeper. Firstly my 1996 Mondeo (worth £300?) and a S reg Polo (worth £400). The Polo was bought for my son as a 18th Birthday present for my son a couple of years ago but it is in my name as he his away at Uni. I would hate to think that the Polo would be seized by the Courts- is there any thing I could/should do?

HI Clive

Although you are the registered keeper you will have to show that your son is the main user, Uni pass, parking tickets petrol receipts etc

the car being worth £400 is not really worth anything to the OR , recovery cost, auction cost so they may offer you to keep it if your son can pay a nominal fee
