Posted - 14 March 2011 : 08:31:01 I am seperated from my husband who was assisting me with my £30,000 debt. I am not working due to ill health but am not claiming benefits. As this is my debt, can I file for bankruptcy. We do have a home which I no longer live in. I do not have a new partner, and children are now adults and have left home. Bankruptcy may be an option but I suggest you speak to one of the experts regarding the whole situation.
Do you jointly own the home you don't live in, is there any equity?
