Hi,
what is the demand for? self assessment, VAT, etc? and how many years have the arrears been accruing?

Unless you can make a substantial paymnent plan to them, they are generally inclined to go down the bankruptcy route( Customs & Excise- VAT are far worse than Income tax)

If you need help completing SOA's(statement of affairs) or PIQ's(preliminary information questionnaire) if you've been declared bankrupt, or anything else and you're within 30 miles or so of Warrington, then please contact me via my contact details in the expert page for futher details"

Hi Alvie,

HMRC are well known for going down the bankruptcy route and I'm afraid if they don't want to accept you offer I don't think there is anything you can do about it.

One of the experts will hopefully be along later to advise.

Double, double toil and trouble;
