Posted - 25 March 2011 : 13:03:13 I went bankrupt in October 2008 and had an automatic discharge 12 months later in October 2009. I would like to get a Discharge certificate and I know it costs £60. So I phoned the Court where I went bankrupt and the admin clerk said that I would need proof of discharge, as the last they have on there system goes back to NOV 2008 just after I was bankrupt. I have phoned the insolvency office, and they say they do not send letters out confirming discharge although they confirmed that I am. So what am I supposed to do to get a certificate?.

not certain but if you check your experian credit file they hold details of the bankruptcy and discharge, this may satisfy ex creditors
