Posted - 11 April 2011 : 17:00:50 Hi
I'm almost certainly going to file for bankruptcy in the next few weeks, but I have a question (Probably won't be the last either!)
Over the last few months I've been able to save a couple of hundred pounds in my savings account for the purpose of buying a pram, cot etc before the baby arrives in the summer.
What will happen to this account? Should I transfer the money to my partner? Should I buy what I need now? If I leave it, will it all be taken from me? If I spend it or move it will it be fraud?
Many thanks |

Posted - 11 April 2011 : 20:26:14 I would agree with the others - you need the things for your baby, and providing you're not extravagant I don't see a problem.
You will need to keep the receipts though.

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.
Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 - it's over at last! |

Posted - 11 April 2011 : 20:15:51 Hi Jen, This sounds porfectly acceptable to me too although I am not an 'expert'. I am sure that as long as you keep the receipts for such items 'just in case' that it must surely be ok. Any experts out there to advise?

Not 100% on this but I would suggest that you buy the items you need now - I don't think you will have a problem but hopefully an expert will be along shortly.
